The recording guides you through a menu of choices and you can choose the information or materials you need.

Here is some of the important information available through AnswerLine:

Verify Your Eligibility

Am I Covered?

AnswerLine will tell you if you are eligible for benefits. It tells you the date your coverage was effective and date of termination if you no longer have coverage with GHI. It also tells you if your GHI coverage is primary or secondary.

Basic Benefit Information

What Are My Benefits?

If you have questions about what benefits are covered by a participating provider, choose the benefit/copayment option when you hear it. For example, you may want to know if your plan covers certain benefits such as:

  • Home and office visits
  • Prenatal/newborn baby services
  • Dependent coverage
  • Preventive care
  • Dependent student coverage
  • Lab and x-ray services with applicable copayment information

Check on the Status of Your Claim

You will need to have available the patient's date of birth, GHI member identification number, and the date when the medical service was given. With this information, you can learn:

  • If GHI has received your claim.
  • The date GHI received your claim.
  • If your claim has been paid, denied, or is being processed.
  • Check claim status

How Can I Get Claim Forms? You can have claim forms sent to your mailing address or another address you supply.
