Participants learn to:
- Reduce stress

Workshops are limited to 15 people and are offered in convenient locations throughout New York City and Long Island. Participants are encouraged to bring a family member, friend or support person to all sessions, free of charge.

The Healthy Living with Chronic Conditions workshop was developed by Stanford University. Research funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) found that this program can help prevent or delay disability and that participants had more energy, less fatigue and health stress, and fewer visits to physicians and emergency rooms.
EmblemHealth's own evaluation found that the program effectively educated participants on how to better manage their condition and improve their quality of life.
