You've Got The Power: EmblemHealth's ConsumerDirect Program
What is a ConsumerDirect Plan? EmblemHealth's ConsumerDirect Plan is a group program purchased by employers. It consists of two parts that work together. The first part is a qualified High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), which exchanges a higher deductible for lower premium costs than many traditional health plans. The second part is a member-owned Health Savings Account (HSA), administered by a bank or other financial custodian. Members can use their HSAs to save on a tax-advantaged basis for current or future qualified medical expenses.
