GHI PPO Will Withdraw From the Family Health Plus Program in Franklin County, effective 05/01/2010

As of May 1, 2010, GHI PPO will no longer participate in the Family Health Plus program in Franklin County.

Your patients will automatically be enrolled in Fidelis as of May 1, 2010
Because Family Health Plus recipients must receive services from a managed care health plan and because Fidelis is currently the only other Family Health Plus plan available in Franklin County, your patients in Franklin County will be enrolled in Fidelis as of May 1, 2010.

Your GHI PPO Family Health Plus patients are being notified that their health plan will no longer be participating in the FHPlus program as described above. The notices will advise your patients that:

• Fidelis does not pay for family planning services. However, your patients will be able to get their family planning services from any doctor or clinic that takes Medicaid using their Medicaid ID card. They may be able to keep seeing their same family planning doctor if that doctor takes Medicaid.
• Fidelis does cover dental. This means that beginning 5/1/2010, your patients will be able to get dental services from Fidelis network dentists.

Fidelis will send your patients a new health plan ID card to use starting May 1, 2010. They may contact Fidelis at 1-888-343-3547.

If you are not a Fidelis provider
If you are not a Fidelis provider, your former GHI PPO FH Plus patients may be able to continue receiving covered care from you under the following conditions:

• For up to 60 days from May 1, 2010, if they have a serious condition and are receiving ongoing associated care.
• For up to 60 days after delivery, if they are three or more months pregnant as of May 1, 2010.

You must agree to follow Fidelis’ policies and accept its reimbursement rates. To obtain prior approval to continue treating your patients during this transitional period, please contact Fidelis at 1-888-343-3547.
