Recall of Over-the-Counter Children's and Infants' Liquid Medications

On April 30, 2010, drug maker McNeil-PPC, Inc. issued a recall of some over-the-counter children's and infants' medications because they may not meet required quality standards. Products removed from the market include several Tylenol®, Motrin®, Zyrtec® and Benadryl® medications. Follow this link for a full listing of recalled products.

The chance of having serious health problems from using these products is small. But, the drug maker advises consumers should immediately stop using these products.

  • Contact your doctor to find a different medication, if needed.
  • DO NOT give a child or baby medications not meant for their age.

Health Care Professionals:

  • Tell your patients about the product recall.
