In an effort to provide the latest science based research, resources, and scholarship to health care providers, Integrative Wellness has formed collaborative relationships with the following highly respected and renowned institutions. These associations allow us to keep up with current trends in the field of spirituality and medicine and the integration of spirituality in medical practices.
The New York Academy of Medicine and the New York State Nurses Association help credential our educational offerings so that physicians and nurses can receive Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
To help raise awareness of the unique issues confronting those who care for loved ones and identify resources to help this growing population of unpaid caregivers, we have forged partnerships with the following organizations:
Council on Senior Centers and Services (CSCS) CSCS provides advocacy, education, training and technical assistance to its membership comprised of 300 community-based organizations serving more than 400,000 older New Yorkers. Integrative Wellness presented "Caring for Me; Caring for You" at the 2003 CSCS annual meeting and we continue to accept invitations from member organizations for additional performances. Requests for services and programs by performance attendees are often referred to CSCS member organizations.
The White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) Held every 10 years by an act of Congress, WHCOA identifies recommended actions to confront the changing needs of an ever increasing and diverse population of aging Americans, including issues of caregiving. Integrative Wellness, together with the National Alliance for Caregiving, is developed a caregiving handbook distributed at the December 2005 WHCOA Conference.
Stanford University developed, tested and evaluated Healthy Living with Chronic Conditions, a course that empowers people living with a chronic disease to live a healthier, fuller and more independent life. Workshop facilitators participate in an intensive week long training session led by Master Trainers who themselves are trained by Stanford University
