EmblemHealth/CUNY Student Health Insurance Program

When it comes to health coverage, you know what matters most. With our program, you can get the hospital, medical and prescription drug coverage you need. It provides coverage for a wide range of network-only benefits, including annual checkups, lab tests, preventive care, emergency room care and much more, with no need for referrals when you visit specialists.

Who Is Eligible

This program is available to matriculated CUNY students and international students who are enrolled for six credits or more a semester, as well as their dependents (spouses, domestic partners and children up to the end of the month in which they reach age 26).

Get Information and Coverage When You Need It

Check out our brochure for benefit details. Use the provider directory to find a network doctor near you — make sure to select "CBP" as the network to view a listing of our providers.

Signing up for this plan is simple. When you're ready, print a copy of our enrollment form and complete it. Before you send it back to us, your college Registrar's office has to stamp the form to confirm your enrollment. Remember to keep a copy for your records before you mail it to us.

CUNY Certificate of Insurance, Riders and Wellness Programs

Your Certificate of Insurance is proof of coverage under a Group Contract between your University and GHI. This document, along with the Grievances and Appeals rider, Mental Health rider, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act rider and Drug rider, describes the health insurance benefits available to you and your eligible dependents.

We also give you access to popular Wellness Programs, available at discounted rates and for special terms.
