Hurricane Sandy Update for Brokers

EmblemHealth is a New York-based company, and we have been experiencing first hand the effects that the storm has had on our State, City and the surrounding communities. Our number one priority is the health and safety of EmblemHealth members and the EmblemHealth team.

Member Services: EmblemHealth member services phone systems and EmblemHealth Member Online Services are operational and available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. EmblemHealth members who need assistance can reach the company at the following toll-free numbers:

For all pharmacy needs, including obtaining additional supplies of medications as backup for emergency situations if necessary, please have the member contact our Pharmacy Services team at:

Group Services: Our phone systems and EmblemHealth Group Online Services are fully operational, and we are observing our regular group services hours of 8am - 5pm.

October premium payment (to make a deposit or a payment to bring an account current) has been extended until the end of business on Thursday, November 15th. Since local mail delivery may be interrupted, we want to strongly encourage groups to use our online services. EmblemHealth Group Online Services enables the group to:

  • Review account status
  • Check monthly statement
  • Pay Bills (Bill Pay is a free bill payment service at EmblemHealth Group Online Services)
  • Obtain member eligibility
  • Obtain temporary ID cards or request New ID cards

This service is available for all EmblemHealth companies as well as HealthyNY.

Broker Services: Our phone systems and EmblemHealth Broker Online Services are working and observing regular broker services hours. Since local mail delivery may be interrupted, we want to remind you of ways you can manage your current accounts and sell additional services through EmblemHealth Broker Online Services:

  • Manage your book of business
  • Create proposals with rates
  • Submit applications and enroll members
  • View commissions and billing information
  • Order member ID cards
  • View member eligibility and benefits

New Business: Groups entered through the broker portal requesting a November 1st effective date will be accepted for that effective date through November 13th. November existing business renewals have until the end of the month to finalize plan changes.
