ConsumerDirect High-Deductible Option Available for Sale

We are pleased to announce the re-release of our ConsumerDirect EPO option with an individual deductible of $5,800, which gives EmblemHealth a full product suite that includes a product compatible with health savings accounts (HSAs).

This community-rated high-deductible group health plan has a $5,800 deductible for individual-only coverage and an $11,600 deductible for families -- with zero percent coinsurance. Once the deductible has been met, all in-network medical and hospital services are covered in full up to the allowed charge -- including prescription drugs.

The plan will appeal to your groups because of its zero percent coinsurance in network, access to EmblemHealth's extensive provider and hospital networks (including national coverage), eligibility for an HSA option and EmblemHealth's competitive rates.

First HSA Is Now HealthEquity

Please note that EmblemHealth's preferred TPA, First HSA, has gone through a name change to HealthEquity. This should have no effect on you or your clients whose health savings accounts are currently administered by First HSA.

If you have any questions, please contact your EmblemHealth representative.

The EmblemHealth ConsumerDirect EPO is underwritten by Group Health Incorporated ("GHI") and provides in-network benefits only. Except for emergency hospital care, no out-of-network services are covered. Coverage is subject to all terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions set forth in the contract and certificate of insurance. Refer to GHI policy form number PLH-SGC-997 Certificate, et. al.
