At EmblemHealth, we have one priority: caring for our New York community. Our social media sites serve as another means to care for and connect with our members, neighbors and local partners. Please follow these guidelines when interacting with us and others on social media.
Treat other social media users like your neighbors
Please be courteous and respectful of others. In order to keep our social media communities safe and secure, we reserve the right to remove content that is inappropriate or contains sensitive information.
Remember that social media is a public space
EmblemHealth’s social media sites are public, so please make sure to protect your privacy. Please do not post or direct message EmblemHealth with your social security number, financial information, EmblemHealth member ID or other private data or protected health information (PHI) on our social media sites.

EmblemHealth is not responsible for any User Content posted on EmblemHealth Social Media. Any User Content you post on EmblemHealth Social Media is done voluntarily at your own risk, and you take personal responsibility for any information provided. EmblemHealth is under no obligation to screen or monitor User Content, including tweets, posts, photos, videos, comments and direct messages.
EmblemHealth reserves the right to delete any User Content that is inconsistent with the company’s mission or promotes a product or service. In the event your User Content is deemed inappropriate, EmblemHealth reserves the right to block you from posting on EmblemHealth Social Media.
Please do not post public User Content containing personal contact information. Please do not post or direct message EmblemHealth with your social security number, financial information, EmblemHealth member ID or other protected health information (PHI), such as your physician’s name or the reason you saw the doctor. EmblemHealth and its subsidiaries will never ask you for your Social Security number, EmblemHealth member ID or passwords on EmblemHealth Social Media. User Content with detailed private information or medical information about you or another person may be removed to protect the privacy of all concerned.
You understand that the phone numbers you provide on EmblemHealth Social Media properties may be used by EmblemHealth or any of its contracted parties to contact you about your account, your health benefit plan or related programs, or services provided to you.
As a condition of posting User Content on EmblemHealth Social Media, you represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to submit content and that such content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, trademark, copyright or other rights of any third party.
License and Release:
You understand and agree that you are hereby releasing all rights, title and interest in and to any User Content that you submit. You give EmblemHealth and its subsidiaries and affiliates the unrestricted right to use, without compensation to you or any third party, any content, photographs, ideas, concepts, designs, or creative elements provided or created by you and allow EmblemHealth and its designees to use all elements of such content in any and all media now known or not currently known, throughout the world in perpetuity, without compensation or notification to, or permission by you or any third party.
You expressly release and hold harmless EmblemHealth, its affiliates and subsidiaries, its officers, directors, agents, employees and those acting under its authority, from any and all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of or in connection with your User Content. This release shall be binding upon your heirs, administrators, executors and assigns.
