EmblemHealth Opens Its First Neighborhood Care Location in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – November 16, 2023 – EmblemHealth, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health insurers, announced today the opening of its newest Neighborhood Care location in the Bronx. The new site, located at 932 Southern Boulevard, will be alongside BronxDocs, a multispecialty health care practice. The new Neighborhood Care location, the first in the Bronx, will provide community members with in-person and virtual customer support, connections to local resources, and free programs to support health and wellness.

Neighborhood Care Southern Boulevard will offer a diverse team of Customer Care Navigators who live in the community, ensuring that they can help customers navigate barriers to health in a personalized way. Individuals can receive one-on-one help to learn more about their coverage and understand their health plan benefits or get help choosing a health plan that works for them. The new location will offer support in English and Spanish. Community members can also sign up for our free health and wellness programs, including fitness classes, stress relief, health education, and nutrition workshops. Classes are free and open to the public.
