To help you care for your EmblemHealth patients with serious back problems, we have signed an agreement with OrthoNet, a leader in utilization management for musculoskeletal services such as spinal surgery and interventional pain management. This relationship expands access to experts in the field who can assist you in planning the best and most effective course of treatment for your patients.
Once this program begins, you will be required to contact OrthoNet directly to obtain prior approval for the spine surgery and pain management therapy procedures included here. In the coming months we will provide you with additional program information including access to the OrthoNet website and instructions on how to submit requests and follow up on your prior approval requests.

This program will apply to the procedures that are provided in any of the following settings:
- Provider office (POS 11)
- Inpatient hospital (POS 21)
- Ambulatory surgery center (POS 24)
- Outpatient hospital (POS 22)
