First Round of FIDA Provider Training Requirements

Are you a medical, behavioral, or community- or facility-based long-term
services and support (LTSS) provider who participates in one or both of our FIDA networks?*

  • EmblemHealth Dual Assurance Network for the EmblemHealth Dual Assurance FIDA Plan
  • Associated Dual Assurance Network for the GuildNet Gold Plus FIDA Plan POS and the ArchCare Community Advantage FIDA Plan

If yes, you must initially complete three web-based training modules, and then another five required modules by April 1, 2015.

This training is mandated by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). Once available, a link to the NYSDOH training site will be posted to our Learn Online page.

Please note: EmblemHealth is required to track, document and report to the NYSDOH on the completion of all trainings and address non-completion of the training requirements accordingly.

Additional Training for IDT Members.
All interdisciplinary team (IDT) members, including providers, must complete web-based IDT training specific to each FIDA plan’s process. (The training is offered by EmblemHealth, GuildNet and ArchCare.) Team members must finish this training within two months of joining the IDT but before the Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP) is completed, unless otherwise noted below.

IDT training includes the topics listed in the table above as well as the following:

  • IDT and Person-centered Planning Process (prior to first IDT meeting)
  • Issues Related to People in Nursing Homes
  • Independent Living Philosophy and Recovery Model
  • Wellness Principles

*To find out whether you participate in our FIDA network(s), simply sign in to our secure site at with your HIP user ID and password and click on the “Practice/Provider Profile” link. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the “Practice/Provider Profile” screen for a list of the networks you participate in.
