NEW YORK, NY (October 27, 2014) — EmblemHealth, the New York-based health and wellness company, recognized and honored seven nonprofit organizations serving residents of Upper Manhattan at the “Commitment to Care Lecture & Award Series.”

The awards ceremony, held October 21 at La Marina in Inwood, recognized nonprofit organizations that exemplify a commitment to providing care, services and support to the residents of New York City.

“EmblemHealth is very proud to honor our fellow New Yorkers. The Commitment to Care awards allow us to highlight local organizations that are making a difference and a positive impact in their communities,” said Dave Mahder, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, EmblemHealth. “Each organization displays an unwavering commitment to improve their respective communities, and that is an inspiration to us all,” said Mahder.
