EmblemHealth and AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) are opening the first ACPNY Express to support the holistic health and wellness of City of New York employees. We are proud to strengthen our companies’ joint commitment to the City and to offer its workers another convenient way to access medical care and wellness programs.

EmblemHealth’s partnership with the City of New York and its members spans more than 75 years. We have been honored to offer City employees, their dependents and retirees carefully thought out and innovative medical benefits and wellness services. ACPNY Express builds on this innovation and expands our commitment by bringing convenient and accessible health care services to the men and women who keep the City strong.

We looked at barriers patients faced in receiving health care and found three main themes: time, distance and access. This is especially true of working people, who often need to take time off or be absent from work, which can have a financial impact for both the patient and his employer. Centrally located near City Hall at 52 Duane Street, ACPNY Express seeks to remove these barriers and create a full-service location for City workers to address clinical, medical and insurance issues.

Our clinicians, providers and staff members are dedicated to keeping City workers healthy and being available in a convenient location when they are sick. As part of the ACPNY family of 36 medical offices, ACPNY Express can connect City workers to primary and specialty care, all while ensuring their medical records follow them seamlessly throughout the APCNY system. ACPNY Express offers the latest in cutting-edge technology, on-site lab and pharmacy services and telemedicine appointments with dermatologists, nutritionists and behavioral health clinicians.

In addition to clinical care, we will offer wellness information and activities, including classes, forums, a community walking program, support groups, and other disease management, stress management and weight loss resources. City workers will also receive help with questions about benefits, filing claims or finding a provider. An on-site pharmacy can fill prescriptions on the spot, via delivery or by mail, as well as offer over-the-counter products, such as cough medicine and aspirin.

City workers will be able to call ahead for an appointment and walk a short distance from their offices during their break, see their health care provider, fill their prescription, and be back at work with minimal interruption.

Both ACPNY and EmblemHealth are locally based, serve the New York City-metro community, and are dedicated to improving access and offering quality, affordable and convenient care.

ACPNY Express will officially open its doors to the public on July 25; a grand opening celebration will take place on July 20.
