NEW YORK, NY (May 14, 2025) — EmblemHealth, one of the largest not-for-profit health insurers in the country, held and participated in more than a dozen events across New York City in April. This active involvement highlights EmblemHealth's strong commitment to raising awareness about health care and its dedication to the community's well-being.

EmblemHealth has developed strong partnerships with many community organizations. This spring, we participated in events with The Mexican Coalition, PS 129 Queens (The Patricia A. Larkin School), and New York State of Mind. Alongside these organizations, we collaborated with elected officials, such as New York City Council Member Nantasha Williams, New York State Assembly Members Karina Reyes and Kwani B. O'Pharrow, and New York State Senator Roxanne Persaud to bring services to our communities.

EmblemHealth's Neighborhood Care locations hosted farmers markets in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, providing more than 200 people with fresh produce. At the same events, more than 40 people were screened for diabetes as part of the Community Diabetes Wellness Program.

During April, the EmblemHealth Community Engagement team participated in the following events:

  • P.S. 129 Queens Resource Fair.
  • Council Member Nantasha Williams – 4th Annual Spring Fest.
  • New York State of Mind Easter Eggstravaganza.
  • Assemblywoman Karine Reyes’ Easter Celebration.
  • Assemblymember Kwani B. O'Pharrow Easter Egg Hunt.
