New York, NY (December 2, 2015) — Today, EmblemHealth announced the addition of Andrew S. Rein to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, effective immediately.
As a member of the company's senior leadership team reporting directly to President and CEO Karen Ignagni, Mr. Rein will work to enhance and coordinate strategies across EmblemHealth's business units to further align the health plan with high quality, affordable care.
“In New York City — and on the national stage — Andrew has been committed to bringing people together to improve health outcomes. His focus on collaboration and record of success developing, implementing and leading initiatives to better analyze and manage health care align seamlessly with our efforts to become the strongest plan in the region,” said Ms. Ignagni.
“I'm thrilled to join the team here at EmblemHealth and become part of its mission to serve the people of New York and the surrounding region. This is an exciting time of transformation for the health care industry and I look forward to working with Karen and the dynamic team she has assembled on the forefront of making high quality, affordable health care a reality,” said Mr. Rein.
Mr. Rein joins EmblemHealth from NYU Lutheran where he served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and System Transformation, leading several care transformation initiatives including NYU Lutheran's first risk-based reimbursement agreement.
