MD On-Line to Help EmblemHealth Convert Paper-Based Providers to EDI

 

New York City (June 6, 2011) — MD On-Line, Inc., a proven leader in enabling interoperable EDI transactions between health care providers and insurance companies, and EmblemHealth Inc., which provides health insurance through its companiey EmblemHealth, have entered into a relationship to encourage paper-submitting providers to convert to EDI, effective immediately. As part of this effort, the MD On-Line transaction portal will be available through the EmblemHealth Web site and MD On-Line will conduct its signature outreach efforts to affect electronic transaction conversion. EmblemHealth joins more than thirty major carriers who have a relationship with MD On-Line and who have recognized the Company’s expertise in converting paper providers to electronic submitters.

Under the new arrangement, EmblemHealth providers will be able to submit to and receive EmblemHealth transactions electronically at no cost. In addition, special incentives will be provided to encourage practitioners to submit and receive electronically to the more than 2,000 payers who are a part of the MD On-Line network.
