Supplier Diversity Program

Launched in 2021, EmblemHealth family of companies is committed to creating opportunities to do business with suppliers who reflect the diversity of the communities it serves. EmblemHealth strives to consistently identify and increase utilization of certified diverse-owned businesses who meet our business needs.

Certification

The EmblemHealth supplier diversity program recognizes diverse suppliers who are 51% owned, operated, and controlled by designated underutilized groups. These include minority, women, veteran, LGBTQ, and disabled communities. We encourage certification, recognizing participation as a source of credibility, collaboration, business opportunity, and enhancement.

Public certifying agencies include local, state, and federal government programs that verify minority, women, veteran, LGBTQ, disability-owned, and other disadvantaged business status. Certification can be issued by one or more of the following agencies:

NYC Small Business Services (SBS)

New York Empire State Development (ESD)

EmblemHealth also recognizes private certifying organizations including:

National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)

National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC)

National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)

Disability:IN

As a leader in health and wellness in the New York tristate area, EmblemHealth strongly advises our minority and women-owned business partners to be certified by The City of New York.
