Peaches contain fiber, potassium, vitamin C and choline, which all help support a healthy heart. An increased intake of potassium along with a decreased intake of sodium can greatly reduce ones risk of cardiovascular disease. Recent studies show that patients who consumed 4,069 mg of potassium a day — close to the daily recommended average for adults — decreased their risk of dying from heart disease death by 49 percent.
